After successfully convincing her mother to let her go, she discovers that being in high school with other super-powered teens isn’t always as easy or as fun as she had always assumed it would be. Her roommate, Harley Quinn has her mind set on creating her own media sensation by posting videos of the other students. While some of those videos do enhance the reputations of those featured, they are more often likely to feature them making mistakes and publicly embarrassing themselves.It also doesn’t help that someone clearly doesn’t want Wonder Woman to stick around. “Wondy†as she comes to be called by the other students, keeps finding anonymous notes left for her. While not outright threats, they do make it clear that someone wants her out of the school. Between worrying over who it is that dislikes her so much as to try to scare her off and trying to fit in with the other students, Wondy has her work cut out for her.This was a fun story meant for younger readers as well as those starting to read Young Adult novels. All of the expected DC comics characters, both those who will later become evil-doers as well as those who will one day be known as the greatest of superheroes are represented in this book. I found it to be very entertaining and quite amusing. I might not have been the target audience for this book, but I enjoyed this unique look at the comic book characters that I grew up reading about when I was young. I have been a longtime fan of Wonder Woman and when I saw this 238 hardcover book (Wonder Woman Super Hero High by Lisa Yee) on Amazon for a bargain price I purchased. This book is aimed at high school age teens but I still enjoyed the story.This story is about the early years of Wonder Woman, Amazon Warrior and princess. She lives on Paradise Island and desires to attend Super Hero High where she can learn and meet other super heroes. The lessons she learns and the interaction with other well-known DC super heroes makes the book move along at a good pace.There are underlying positive messages in this book and young high school age fans of Wonder Woman will enjoy reading this book.Rating: 4 Stars. Bought this for my granddaughter. She is eight and having lots of fun reading this story. We are both DC comics fans and this story is perfect. Not everything has to be filled with pictures. Fantastic. Looking forward to the other stories coming out.

Terrific for girls, but great for us Wonder Woman fans of any age. Bits of humor on almost every page--quite unlike most of the comics and movies nowadays.
My 8 year old is very obsessed with the superhero girls right now. This is her first book in this series but she is already asking for more. Anything that can keep her reading is worth 5 stars to me!
While in the hospital I got to watch one of the cartoons of the Super Hero High series. When I saw one of the books on Harley Quinn, and that it was the latest in a set, I decided to get the whole set.One really good point in the books vs the cartoon, is that both boys and girls are at S.H. High. In the cartoon it was girls only. A decision that avoids the 'girls can do anything' endless propaganda that gets so boring so fast. I got sick of it 45 years ago in high school. One girl on one of those rants was utterly destroyed (linguistically) by me. She insisted she could do anything any male could do. I pointed to her companion. "Make her pregnant." She staggered off red faced.It was a fun book to read, very like the 5 cent comic books I used to love as a kid. Some of the same characters, too.One bad point was that the bad guy had no clues pointing that way.I also hope that not every volume has the punch line that the hero starts out as a clumsy clod. (The cartoon did too.) I also remember that W.W. has a secret identity and name, though I can't remember what it was. also am going to have to look up many of the newer heroes to find out what they look like, etc.
I really enjoyed the book! It's funny and very well written. I love how the characters are written and the references they make to other people and comics. A very good read!
